HighLights: Brazil Vs Netherlands: 0-3
Short of confidence Brazil continue to falter against the enterprising Netherlands. Brazil as a team showed how absence of 1-2 major player changes the complexion of the game. Less said about this game the better it is.

HighLights: Argentina Vs Netherlands: 0-0: (4-2)
The stars were shackled with defense taking center stage . Hard to pick up the team which played better. In the end the coin toss of penalty was the decider.
HighLights: Brazil Vs Germany : 1-7
It was just unbelievable what transpired on the pitch. Germany just steamrolled their opponent and looked likely to score whenever they moved forward. I have actually no words to describe anything which happened for that 90 minutes. I guess it was an aberration.

HighLights: Netherlands Vs Costa Rica: 0-0: 4-3
Netherlands clearly dominant but Costa Rica had their moment which they should have grabbed and their game plan seemed to desire penalties. They sat back so much that their was hardly any chances and when they did make an effort it was too late. Another example of the mistake by a lower ranked team of not pressing forward. In the end a heartbreak.
HighLights: Argentina Vs Belgium: 1-0
Higuain finally came good with Belgium totally outclassed. Argentina showed they can defend.
HighLights: Brazil Vs Columbia: 2-1
Heart Break for Columbia. Brazil played the anti Brazilian game of pathetic tackles but the referee had a different idea of keeping the cards in the pocket. End result Brazil lost her talismanic striker Neymar to one of such tackles. To be fair Columbian tackles began much after Brazilians. Another mistake by one of the unfancied team was to sit back more than they do generally.
HighLights: France Vs Germany: 0-1
A very boring game (probably the most boring match of the World Cup) with Germans an outright winner. France seemed to have lost her MOJO and the absence of flair was clearly visible.

HighLights: Belgium Vs USA: 2-1
What a game, What a game, What a game. The extra time was an example of human limits to its extreme. With two overworked team giving it all. Tim Howard kept USA in with a chance by seeing the ball bigger than what it is. Ideally USA should have won with the amazing opportunity at the fag end of full time, but those are ifs and buts. They should have also stayed in the game in their superb last ditch efforts including a clever free kick. USA fought like a gladiator and unfortunately for them their was no theatrically happy ending. Full marks to Belgium for tirelessly pressing on. In the end nature of sports calls for a winner and life seems too cruel, which seems to have become the norm of this world cup.
HighLights: Argentina Vs Switzerland: 1-0
A last minute mistake, Messi and Maria did what was denied by Switzerland for almost 2 halfs of regular and extra time. An amazing marking of Messi and a pole width was the distance between a loss and penalty shoot out for Switzerland. Phewww what a match

HighLights: France Vs Nigeria: 2-0
A not so intense game with Nigeria not playing so brave in-spite of their keepers bravery (or the mistake). A grave mistake every so called minnows are making is not taking the so called by horn. Sitting back doesn't help to an extent it can be said that they are themselves to blame.
HighLights: Germany Vs Algeria: 2-1
A good game with Algerians standing tall. The scoreline may suggest a goal fest but all happened in extra time with an edge of seat experience for both the fans. Great saves by the Algerian keeper.
HighLights: Costa Rica Vs Greece: 1-1: (5-3)
Didnt expect the match to go down to wire even with Greece historic and expected stout defending. At least a team scored all their penalties. Greece almost made it only to be denied by Keylor Nava. A chance missed by Greece to overwhelm 10 man opponent, a probable downside of being too defensive is to be unable to take advantage of the such opportunities.
HighLights: Netherlands Vs Mexico: 2-1
Fate is cruel and the Mexican might have realized it today with higher power somehow always supporting the diver (Robben) graduated from the best acting school of the world. I wonder why officials dont show him the yellow card.

HighLights: Columbia Vs Uruguay: 2-0
The dancing shoes of the world cup has done it again overwhelming a desperately out of sorts Uruguay in the absence of her every so hungry striker Suarez. A commendable job the Columbian goalkeeper and Rodriguez what a magical unbelievable strike.
HighLights: Brazil Vs Chile: 1-1(3-2)
Heartbreak of Chilean fans, denied by the woodwork. They so much deserved to win with a gallant display of pristine football on field. Brazil looks vulnerable. The very first match of RoundOf16 going to shootout, this world cup is definitely more exciting than the other

HighLights: Belgium Vs Korea: 1-0
With Korea only happening to qualify if they were super humans, Belgium managed to thwart it by a 10 man win. Belgium are looking solid as a team
HighLights: Algeria Vs Russia: 1-1
Russia what did you do. You had a chance but you let it pass, with Algerians doing very well in erasing first goal deficit, with help from another mistake from the goal keeper (such a shame that he was blinded by laser. How unsporting). For this behavior I wish Algerians go out in next round.
HighLights: Portugal Vs Ghana: 2-1
A match of missed chances with the biggest looser being Ghana. Ghana goalkeeper and defense made good saves but when they were unable to take advantage of clear open nets, the result would be what it is. Portugal who else but you need to rue Pepe's red card and big goal difference
HighLights: Germany Vs USA: 1-0
A good result for both teams with both looking circumspect but pushing for a win. People from USA must definitely have no more nails , I hope the fingers still remain, what a relief when the God of results favored them.
